Another fairly easy pace run today.  Still felt the tightness in the achellies but I don't think it is anything to be concerned about at this point, it was less than yesterday.  Still going to be fairly cautious this week just in case.  Picked up the pace a little bit from yesterday but nothing close to what it should have been for my tempo run.  Oh well, main concern for the next three weeks is to get completely healed, if I can maintain fitness during this time it's a bonus.

Great job Jeff. It's always better to be cautious. Wish I was running VOF.

Sounds like you are not only fast but smart as well! Keep up the good work.

Does the LVM have the timing mates so that we can follow you on line?

From JeffC on Tue, Nov 18, 2008 at 15:40:36

I don't know if LVM has timing mats or not, I will have to look into that.

From JeffC on Tue, Nov 18, 2008 at 16:09:12

Just called the marathon office and they do not have live timing mats at the event...too bad.

Jeff, get that achilies healed up. I've always found for me to taper well it is best to keep up the intesity (speed) but cut the distance. Maybe with few miles, but at a faster pace you achellies will do better. You know your body best though and you gotta do what it tells you.

From Smooth on Tue, Nov 18, 2008 at 17:18:44

Your average pace is faster today than yesterday's. It's a good sign. Hope the archilles heal up fast.
