Another standard 7 miler today.  Did get chased by a couple of small dogs for the first time in a long time.  When they catch you by surprise it really puts a hop in your step until you figure out that you could just step on them and crush them.  Probably not a good idea when the owner is out there though.  It really bugs me when peoples dogs chase me and the owner won't put them on a leash and can't control them.  People like that deserve to have there dog stepped on or kicked by and unsuspecting runner.  Anyway....it finally cooled off a bit today again....38 degrees.....so I didn't over heat today in my usual attire.  Felt pretty good throughout.

Time:  8:33/mile

I say step on them!!! I had the same thing happen to me this morning, but I just turned and yelled at the darn thing and it went wimpering in the cold dark morning...

I cannot wait for James to comment on this :-)

Don't get me wrong, I love dogs and have a Min Pin of my own (talk about a dog you could step on). It's that element of fight or flight that gets me everytime a dog come bolting at me (which is actually pretty rare, thank goodness).

You should read some of James' stories. He gets attacked all the time by dogs, plus bulls, badgers, and ants.

I am not a very good person in situations like this, so don't follow my example. I especially get annoyed when the owner is there, and more annoyed when they think it is funny. I probably would have booted each individual dog until the last one and then hit the owner right between the eyes with his own dog. At least that is what I would attempt! You are a better man than I am to be so controlled.

ROTFLOL!!!! Your post came at just the right time. I needed a really good laugh. Thanks James.
