B-E-A-utiful day! (to quote Bruce Nolan from "Bruce Almighty") It seems that the recent rain and wind did a really nice job of cooling it off at least for this morning.  Not sure what the temp was but it felt much cooler.  Took it really easy today and didn't worry about pace or time at all.  Feels like the foot thing is coming around nicely, although I do still have a little stiffness in my lower back and left calf for whatever reason.  I anticipate that those will subside by the end of the week with continued easy running.  Nothing else too exciting.  Meg reports that the Y was open on time today, I guess the phone call went well....

You need to enjoy those cooler temps when you can get them.

Sounds like an enjoyable run.

Awesome, Jeff!!! Glad to hear Meg was able to get into the gym.

Jeff, sounds like your being smart with the easy miles. So, after a few attempts at the BQ, are you going to do anything different for STG? Sure is hard to find that balance between pushing to hard and not hard enough.

Mike...I've only had one legitimate attempt at a BQ and it rained and blew all day. The rest of my marathons I went into knowing that a BQ was out of reach, but pushed for a PR.

I don't know that I will do anyting different other than try to find that balance you speak of...I have steadily improved over the last three years but at the same time I have had a nice dose of injury when I have pushed too hard. So for me, finding the balance over the next 18 weeks is key.

You seem like you are indestructible right now with no injuries and logging the big miles. I can only guess that finding the balance will be huge for you as well.

Jeff, I'm glad to hear the foot doesn't seem to be bothering you too much. Nice run.

Nice job getting that foot to begin to behave. I think my back pain is correlated to how much I have to sit in the very uncomfortable chairs at school. I don't know though. My PT recommended I get some sort of pillow to put behind my back. I still need to go get one.

Tell Meg hi for me!! :)

I am happy to hear you are healing well and that Meg got in the gym!
