Back at it again today.  It really sucks to get up every morning and face the cool dark morning alone.  It sure made running a lot easier when Meg was going with me.  At least I knew there was someone depending on me to be up and ready to go running every morning.  Without her getting up every morning it's easier to make up an excuse to cheat ant not run.  I look forward to the day when she is back by my side again.

The run went good and I felt good.  I guess I should feel good after 3 days off.  The shin muscles finally feel better.  They were really sore up until yesterday due to the walk race practice last Wednesday.  I'm sure glad I went to practice or would really be hurting come race day.

What walk race? I can't imagine doing a walking race. I'm sure I'd be DQ'd for doing it wrong.

The walk race is an event in the Corporate Challenge in Las Vegas. Corp Challenge is a competition among companies who compete for points in events and eventually the overall championship. The walk race seems easy but it's pretty tough to walk really fast. They use the same rules as the olympics but not too many people get DQ'd cause the judges are just volunteers who don't really know the rules. Although sometimes that can work against you when you see people walking really fast it can be mistaken for jogging. One foot always has to be incontact with the ground at all times.

Jeff I agree, fast walking hurts. I go on alot of walks with my wife, she loves to walk fast almost a slow jog for me. I went through Snow Canyon with her one day, hurt to walk the next. Hope Meg is back soon.
