Boy it's time for me to get some new shoes.  I have totally worn through the black soles down to the yellow cushoning on the outside of my heal area.  I am so rouogh on shoes it is amazing.  Maybe if I shed a few pounds on concentrated more on improving my gate I may not have this problem, is something like this even correctable?  Anyway, another fine morning for running.  Lots of cloud cover and a break in the rain made for a warm and comfortable run.  Temp was 56 and it was humid.  Shorts and long sleeves again today, SWEET!  Not too sweet for the natural gas company I work for but sweet for running in January.

It's EASIER to get new shoes. I wear out the same areas of my shoes around 250 miles and think the same thing. What if I was lighter? Wonder if I'm a heel striker? blah blah blah. New shoes are SO NICE.

You're so lucky to have such nice Jan. weather. We have icy rain this morning. And NO, it didn't wash away the smog. The air quality is still RED and BAD!!! STINKS!!!

Hey Jeff, sounds like you're having a good time down there in the clean, warm air. Yeah, I'd say it's time for a new pair of shoes. LOL.

It only takes me about 70 miles to wear the outside of my heal that far. I can't afford shoes that often so I keep building it back with shoe goo. I've been told it's my gait that does it which makes sense. I guess I need to work on that more.

Jeff - I know I have said this before but I really need a winter home in vegas! I was stuck inside again today... I really want to see the sun!

From JeffC on Fri, Jan 23, 2009 at 14:20:04

Dang Dave, that really stinks! I thought I was bad. I can usually get to the mid 200s before I see the next layer coming through.

Kathie..you really do need a Vegas winter home, although our current weather is a bit out of the ordinary for this time of year.

Ya I need new shoes bad too. I found a big change though with my pain in my legs, blisters, and wear on my shoes. When I went to wearing orthotics. They really helped me out alot. Glad to hear your weather is so nice and agreeable.
