Carbon copy of yesterdays run except for the part about over heating.  Today I wore shorts and a tech long sleeve shirt cause the temp was 54 degrees.  Started with gloves and a cap but had to shed those after a couple of miles.  I still seem to be feeling some lingering soreness and fatigue from the race on Saturday.  I just feel crappy for the first few miles but by the end I am usually feeling pretty good.  I guess it just takes a while for this old body to warm up.  I haven't had shin splints since my first year of running and I don't really have them now but they are a little tender like I am on the verge.  I imagine most of my issues right now are stemming from my lack of training and then running Painter's a litle too hard.  Next week is another week and I'm sure things will improve by then.

Jeff...I hope you start feeling better. I'm actually surprised how well I feel so soon after the race.

I know what you mean I have been only putting in 3 miles and I feel like I am just getting warm when I quit... maybe that means I need to run longer but it is killer on the dreadmill. I can't wait for the pollution to go away!

Listen to you young ones make me feel better. It's recovery week, everything is supposed to be "tender". You all had a terrific race. So, go gentle and tender on yourselves, no need to be diehards. :)

Cool pic Jeff!!

You had an awesome run at Painters -- give your body some time to regroup! :)
