Finally got back out on the road again today and felt pretty good.  Tried out the new running tights although according to the tag they are golfing pants.....what the???  Anyway, they kept me nice and toasty and I loved running in them much more than my baggy old sweats.  Took it pretty easy today and will continue to do so until everything feels better.  After the run today Meg and I did the PM version of the AM/PM Yoga disc.  This was my second time doing it since we got the disc for Christmas.  I would like to make it a twice a day thing, we'll see how that goes.  No real results to post about how yoga is helping me or not helping me, need to give it a couple of weeks to see how it goes.  I have enjoyed it both times I have done it and I like the way it makes me feel.  I am not very flexible at all so I hope to see some improvement in that area as a result.  Christmas was good, the break from running was good, now it is time to get back to work again.  Temp was 34 today and no wind, pretty dang good running conditions.

Jeff...

Glad the Running "golfing" tights worked out for you. Wow, I think it's actually warmer up here than it is down there.

Nice job of getting out today Jeff, let me know how the yoga goes and if it makes a difference. I would be interested in the results.

Nice run Jeff. Starting to get a bit chilly down there. You guys get any snow??

From JeffC on Mon, Dec 29, 2008 at 13:09:56

Dale...ya it's pretty clear and pretty cool down hear but there is no snow and the only ice in the streets is from people sprinklers draining down the gutters. The highs during the day get into the mid 50s so it's not too bad.

Clay...I'm sure I will post the yoga results on the blog here. I'm hopeful I will see some good results.

Mark...No snow, just cold. This is probably as cold as we will see this winter....if we're lucky.

Jeff I am glad to see the running tight work for you. Did you really get them to run in the "freezing" temps of Vegas or are they for painters :)

From rhett on Mon, Dec 29, 2008 at 17:32:05

Golf tights??? I'd love to see you out golfing in those. I'm sure you would be quite the side show. I love my running tights, but my non-running friends tend to give me a hard time about wearing them..., even though I only wear them running.

From JeffC on Mon, Dec 29, 2008 at 17:50:00

Kathie...I will be using the tights until at least the end of February when it starts to warm up again.

Rhett...They don't look like any golf pants I've ever seen, they just look like running tights. Most of my running is done in the dark and before anyone is awake so I don't have anyone that will make fun of me. At painter's I will wear running shorts over them so I don't gross anyone out.....:)

Glad you're trying the AM/PM yoga. I couldn't get my hubby to do it with me. He'd tried and laughed out loud and would get up to eat a bowl of cereal instead, and that's in the evening. Silly!

C'mon, boys/men wear running tights. They are very fashionable. Don't you worry about grossing anyone out.

Glad to see you starting back up again. Definitely stick with the yoga. It helps me out when I actually do it. It will really help to loosen you up and hopefully make you more injury proof.
