I think this is only my second run of this distance this year.  It is also my longest distance run/s of the year.  I got up extra early today to try and beat some of the heat and it was actually slightly cooler than it has been lately, 81 degrees at 4:30.  Ran a couple laps around my neighborhood and then ran a couple of my big 6 mile laps that include the freeway overpass hill.  Once the sun came up it really got warm and by the end of the run the wheels were starting to fall off.  The temp at the end was 93 degrees....nasty.  I added in a couple of marathon pace miles during the run and they were pretty hard.  I really need to build up some endurance over the next several weeks or I am going to fade bad at the end of SGM.

Very nice, Jeff. Maybe the lifting yesterday didn't affect you after all.

HB!!

Can't believe you can run that fast in that kind of heat. CRAZY!!!

Nice job on the miles.

How is Meg feeling? Is she running SGM as well?

Thanks Dale, I don't know if it affected me or not. Felt pretty beat by the end though.

Teena, Meg is still hurting pretty bad, she isn't seeing much improvement. If I had to guess she would rather run/walk the marathon than sit is out. She will probably be doing it.

Jeff I dont know how you are able to do it. That is just so hot. Yet you got in some great miles and at a good pace to boot. I dont know how you guys down there do it. But your doing awesome.

As for Meg. I am sorry to hear she isnt feeling better yet. And hope that she will run/walk SG just to get her another year closer to the 10 yr club.:(
