Intended to take it pretty easy this morning but following the "hard easy" principle it was time for a little more hard work today.  Decided to do a one mile time trial just for fun this morning.  After a three mile warm up I started the mile,  man I'm slow.  I would like to think I am capable of a 6 minute mile but was only able to manage a 6:15 this morning.  I'm not sure what my problem is, but I'm sure I could come up with pleanty of excuses.  Anyway, once that was over I just settled into a nice easy rhythm and finished off the miles hoping to save something for tomorrows long run.  Weather was great again, even on the warm side at 66 and overcast.

Jeff....So 6:15 is slow, huh? Good one. Anyway, it sounds like a good run you had today. I'm trying to get into the habit of running multiple days in a row. Lately it's been every other day.

DoG...I guess I don't think it's slow I just feel like I should be able to run faster for where I am at. Good luck with running every day. It will take some time to build up to that but once you get there you WILL notice a difference.

Hey Jeff!!! you're SPEEDY in my book any day.

Good planning to save something for the next work out. How many are you running for Sat.? Looks like the weather is co-operating for ya.

Jeff...Well, no matter what, I think you'll tear it up at LVM.

Jeff don't sweat the mile. I know every time I've done a 1-mile time trial I'm always disappointed how little difference there is between my 5K race pace and what I can for 1 mile in a non-race environment. Just keep up on the great mileage base and train like you've been doing and you'll continue to improve at all distances.
