Just a quick trial run that showed I am not ready to be running yet. Man it sure was a cool 71 degrees this morning, wish I was running.

Hey Buddy, discretion is the better part of valor. You are better off shutting it down and getting better than carrying an injury through August and to St. George. I feel for you; I know you were looking forward to enjoying the strangely cool weather.

I hate it when I miss a beautiful morning in the summer. They are few and far between. Baby that back this weekend and hopefully you'll be back next week.

Jeff, is it your back and knee that are giving you problems?

Sure hope you feel better real soon. No worries though! The good weather will wait for you.

Dale..It's my troublesome left leg that is giving me the problems. I have always had problems with it but some times are worse that others. I believe it all starts in my lower back where I have some bulging and herniated disks. Then I have same pain in my left hip and quad area which eventually makes it's way down to the knee and causes some discomfort there. I really think the problem is too many miles and hard running. I'm hoping a few days of rest will get me back on the street...hoping.

Hope that time off will get it feeling better. It seems like you've been doing a good job at keeping those injuries at bay this year. A short break won't set you back too much.

Nice mile Jeff...you are very smart! Are you going to try and run tomorrow?

Darn Jeff, sorry things are not working out. I know the feeling. Keep after it, still a little time to STG.

Jeff, it sounds a little like sciatica. My wife has had some problems with this but she gets pain down the back of her leg and knee. I've read though that the pain can go down the hip and thigh and it usually does start from a back problem that pinches the nerve.

How is your back today?
