Nice little recovery run after yesterdays tempo.  Kept the pace pretty easy, or at least it felt pretty easy but I seemed to be going faster than it felt.  It really felt like I was crawling today.  Had a couple of close encounters this morning with construction workers driving around in their mule's or trucks and just starting to wake up and get ready to take on the day.  I guess today at 10 is the scheduled time for the destruction of the house.  Our family members that are staying with us are going to go down and video tape the event.  I hope they get some good footage.  Drove around the neigborhood this morning and there are a couple of camps set up on vacant lots with tents, equiptment, wood, etc.  This is really a major undertaking to build a house in a week.  I guess the 24 hour days start today.  Should be interesting running the next few days, even busier than today.

What an adventure! They built a house in Bountiful a few years ago and used our church parking lot as a base for the volunteers to park their cars. It was interesting to see how fast things change.

Good luck with your runs... it will definitely add a whole new dimension to them

That's a very disciplined recovery run...the way you forced yourself to run slow. The Extreme Makeover sounds interesting. Keep us up on the fast progress.

Don't get smooshed by a Mac truck or anything.

Is this going to be the honest 5K you said you need to run. I think your in for a big PR. Didn't you run something close 20 min. 5K in training last year for LVM ?

The extream makeover sounds exiting.

Sounds like fun around your place!

Nice run.

Hope all is going well for both you and Meg.

Dave..I don't think this is the honost 5K that I am hoping for. Unless they have changed the course this year it will be impossible to improve much on my PR. This is the course that has you doing a 180 turn about a quarter mile from the start and then running against slower traffic for a ways. The course has also registered on my Garmin at 3.25 the past two years so that adds about an extra minute to your time. We'll see how it goes, but I don't expect a PR this year.
