Picked up the pace a little today by adding in 8-10 200-400 meter strides at an unknown faster pace.  Just picked up the pace for those stretches but didn't really check out the Garmin to see the pace.  I would guess they were right around 7:00/mile pace.  Everything felt pretty good again today as far as the aches and pains go.  The pains are still there but it is less than usual.  (No Smooth, not "pain free" just less pain).  Chilly again today at about 37 but the winds was calm so it wasn't bad at all.

Less pain is good! I'm starting to wonder if there even is such a thing as "pain free" when it comes to running. Perhaps just for the very fortunate few!! :)

Nice run!

(how is Meg feeling?)

Thanks Clay! I don't remeber this picture at all. I only saw one photographer and this wasn't it, I actually waved at that photographer.

From JeffC on Wed, Jan 28, 2009 at 11:02:26

I don't think pain free exists, at least not in my world. I would love my pain to be from burning quads, calfs and lungs instead of back hips and feet. Meg is still struggling a bit but she'll come a round eventually.

From DonGardinero on Wed, Jan 28, 2009 at 11:57:18

nice Job, Jeff. Glad the pain level is lower.

I bet that photographer was hiding in the bushes.

From Smooth on Wed, Jan 28, 2009 at 23:32:02

You mean there's no such thing as pain free? Are you telling me we're supposed to have pain when running? What a fool I've been! Hubby's right when he calls me a "running fool".

Glad your pain scale is down. You sure looked like you were running pain free in that picture! You could have fooled me...pictures don't lie, right? :)

Jeff where are you! You always post before me and give me inspiration for my run!

From JeffC on Fri, Jan 30, 2009 at 13:57:34

Kathie...sorry, I was sick yesterday and today we are dealing with some other issues so I haven't been able to run either day....bummer! Don't let that stop you from getting out there and getting it done. I guess I get a little extra recovery and healing time.

From Smooth on Fri, Jan 30, 2009 at 14:22:53

Jeff, bummer. Hope you're feeling better and no issues. Two rest days = one super nice long run on the weekend.

From Kathie on Fri, Jan 30, 2009 at 14:32:44

Oh sorry you are sick I hope you are better soon. Like Smooth said, this will make your Saturday run even better!
