Power went out at the house last night from about 11:30 to 2:00 a.m. so I didn't get much sleep cause when the power is out the house is silent and you hear every little sound.  Plus when the power is out in the desert the inside of the house gets really warm.  Surprisingly I was able to get up at my regular time and get out the door.  Legs were a little weak from yesterdays tough run but for the most part they felt okay.  The lower back issue was a little worse today, probably due to yesterdays fast miles, but I was able to run through it as it seems to warm up with miles.  Kept the first 8 miles at the regular moderate pace and then picked it up to just faster than BQ pace for the last mile, felt pretty good.

Good workout. I don't know how you do it. Since your back warms up, maybe it is just muscular (way better than the alternative). I think you need a good program for your core.

Frank...Thanks! Your advice sounds vaguely familiar, where have I heard that before?

You keep on logging the miles.

No air conditioner, oh man that really sucks dude! Keep working hard and tell that darn back to cooperate or I'm coming down there and kicking its butt!

Jeff, GOOD JOB getting out there despite a restless warm night and back ache.

Have you ever tried this core workout?

I really like it; part of my routine, twice a week.

Smooth..thanks for posting that link to the core exercises. I have wondered what around the world core was but never bothered to ask. BTW, I am the wimp :)

Nice workout.

Jeff, I'm kicking around the idea of running the Las Vegas Marathon in December. You've run that one, right? What'd you think? Is it fast? Hot? (I guess I could go look up your race report on forumflyers)
