Ran 3 easy miles today and added some strides just for the fun of it. Finally learned what strides are and what they are used for. I really tried to focus on staying relaxed and maintaining good form for the small stretches of faster pace. It was fun to see how much I could relax and still maintain a pace near marathon pace. All the little aches and pains are starting to diminish which is a good thing since this is really the last "easy" week of this training plan. These first three weeks on the plan have been great for gradually building fitness but more importantly healing up and preparing for the real hard work in the weeks ahead. Weather was nice again, a little on the hot side in the high 70s at the start and low 80s at the finish with no wind.
