Ran 6 miles at marathon pace today. Average pace for those six miles was around 7:25/mile. I can't say that it was easy and there is no way that I could maintain that pace for 26 miles at this point but I can say that it is getting "easier" to maintain that pace. I am starting to learn how to run more relaxed and control my breathing. Everything felt really good for the entire run, no real aches or pains to speak of just the fatigue factor and mental factor of maintaining that pace. These runs will be good tests for me in the coming weeks to measure my progress, there are 9 more of these leading up the marathon and they eventually build up to 10 miles at marathon pace. Also ran a mile warm up and a mile cool down. Temp was 82 degrees at the start before the sun was even up.
