Reduced the mileage today and the overall pace was a little slower than usual but I did pick it up on the last mile cause I had to get home in time to drive the kids to early morning seminary today.  Yesterday when we stayed home from our run there was no wind, today the wind was back again....figures.  The weather looks to be pretty great for Painter's but the wind is still an unknown.  I don't recall wind being a factor for the last two years, hopefully that is the case this year.  My rolled ankle from Tuesday felt just fine today so no worries there.  Did a little bit of Yoga after the seminary run and things feel pretty good.  Easy 3-4 tomorrow and we're good to go for Saturday.  Can't wait to see you all in a couple of days.

Looking great Jeff. Good weather for our race this weekend. I will be cheering for you at the finish man.

From Smooth on Thu, Jan 15, 2009 at 13:36:46

Looks like YOU ARE READY! It's gonna be a great run on Sat. for you and Meg.

From Dave S on Thu, Jan 15, 2009 at 13:59:56

Glad to hear the ankle is cooperating. Should be a nice day. See you down there.

From rhett on Thu, Jan 15, 2009 at 14:43:47

I'm glad the ankle wasn't anything major. The weather forcast for St. Goerge says the wind shouldn't be a factor. I hope not.

I think you are ready. Are your plans still to run with Meg? I can't believe you are doing a half this close to a full. You are an animal!

From JeffC on Thu, Jan 15, 2009 at 16:42:11

Kathie...I don't think Meg is going to be able to make it with me. She is kinda stop and go right now during our runs. She will still be running but probably a bit slower than usual. I mentioned to her that you were shooting for a 1:53 and I think she could do that, maybe you two could pace each other a bit. We'll have to try and hook up before the race.

From Kathie on Thu, Jan 15, 2009 at 17:32:27

Jeff that would be cool... 1:53 is my ecstatic pace though... I am not sure I could hang the whole time but it would be fun to try.

From JeffC on Thu, Jan 15, 2009 at 18:26:50

Kathie..Meg told me today during our run that (even with her ankle acting up) she at least wants to come in under 2 hours, so it sounds like you two might be sharing the same goals. You might be pulling her along if her ankle gets bad enough. If it works out great, if not well that's great too....no worries.

If you do run with her AND THIS GOES FOR EVERYONE....TELL HER SHE NEEDS TO START BLOGGING ON HERE. Maybe a little pressure from some forumites might get her to set up a blog....maybe not. But it couldn't hurt to try! Now this is secret, don't tell her I said anything or she'll kick my butt!
