Same run as every other day this week.  The healing continues.  Meg was feeling well enough to join me for 5 of the 6 miles today and it was a nice change to running solo every day.  It sure helps to have someone by your side to take your mind off the task at hand a little bit.

That is great. Glad she is feeling better and you have someone to run with. It sure does help to pass the time. Any smaller races coming up for you bro?? Turkey trots or what not?

From JeffC on Fri, Oct 17, 2008 at 13:02:05

No "smaller" races coming up, just VOF and LVM in November and December? What about you? Are you coming down for VOF in November?

From huans32 on Fri, Oct 17, 2008 at 13:08:28

Its not a fast course is one the reasons I am opting not to do it. If I wanted to get in another attempt at BQing. How is LVM? Isn't that one mostly flat? I will most likely just do the runner series next with some small ones. Before Ogden.

From huans32 on Fri, Oct 17, 2008 at 13:14:38

And I dont knwo about LVM but VoF isnt a BQer. I am tempted to do do that CIM though. I just need to look into it more.

From JeffC on Fri, Oct 17, 2008 at 13:17:13

LVM is very flat, it has a about a 300 ft climb in the first half and a 300 ft descent in the second half. It starts and ends at the Mandalay Bay. There may be a few small bumps in the road here and there but no major hills at all. If we could get some good weather it could be a pretty fast course but the last three years have been fairly poor weather. I'm just running it because I live here and have never run it before. I have no BQ aspirations for LVM, we'll just see what the day brings and how the training goes between now and then.

From JeffC on Fri, Oct 17, 2008 at 13:20:40

I've heard CIM is fast but it isn't faster than SGM and is fairly flat also. I am only running the half at VOF and treating it solely as a training run since LVM is two weeks later. VOF marathon is definately not a BQ course unless you're superman.

From JeffC on Fri, Oct 17, 2008 at 13:21:18

Actually I don't think VOF is a BQ race even if you are superman!

From huans32 on Fri, Oct 17, 2008 at 13:50:37

So no really goal at LVM?? With how your have been doing in your training lately. You might be able to pick up another PR. Ya looks like there is a hill at LVM but mostly flat. Hmmm

Good running Jeff and Meg.

(Man there are a lot of acronyms flying back and forth today!)

From Teena on Sun, Oct 19, 2008 at 00:43:50

Hey Jeff!! (Any chance your real name is Jeffrey?? Love the name "Jeffrey," my neighbor's name is Jeff but I call him "Jeffrey." -- like you really care!! :) )

Alright, what I really wanted to say is: Nice run and glad to hear that Meg's knee is feeling better!!

From Smooth on Sun, Oct 19, 2008 at 15:22:51

Dear Jeff --

My 2nd son is Jeffrey. I called him "FeeFee" when he was a baby. I promise I won't call you that. LOL

Good to hear you're recovered and Meg could join you for a nice run. I really envied couples who run together.

What's on your race schedule now with the mild climate there down south? You're in top marathon shape to reap some PRs.

BEST wishes,

Smooth

Jeff,

Your getting in lots of good recovery miles. What's the next race for you? For some reason I can't get you on my list of favorite blogs. I've tried like 5 times and it just doesn't show up. Do you have me locked out or something? LOL Anyways I just go through Smooth's blog to get to yours. Keep up the good running.

Rhett:

Try adding my name again. I just checked my settings and it looks like I had a couple of things messed up so you should be able to add me as JeffC. Sorry about that. Let me know if it works or not. The next race for me is VOF half and then I am planning to do the Las Vegas Maraton in December.

Smooth..you can call me anything you like, I have been called much worse thank "FeeFee."

Teena:

My real name is Jeffrey but it's rarly used unless I am in trouble with my wife or mom. :)
