Same story different day.  I had been taking anti-inflammatories leading up to the marathon and then for a week after the marathon.  I stopped taking them last Sunday and have been feeling a few more aches and pains since then.  Today, however, things felt a bit better so I am hoping I won't need to rely on those dang pills as much.  Hopefully if I can continue to take it easy the body will be able to heal on it's own.

I can't believe what a wimp I am.  I lifted some weights at the YMCA on Monday night and I am still feeling the effects today in my bicepts, shoulders and chest.  I really need to get on a routine of strength training.  I can't believe how weak my upper body has become.

Nah its not weak for say. Just something new you havent done for a while. Its good to shock the system. But just start into a bit easier and it wont be quite as bad. As I am about to incorparate more of that kind of training. I will just start with 2 reps for a couple weeks then work up to 3. And its a good kind of sore. Right on man.

That's great that your feeling that good so soon after the marathon. You're smart to keep it easy and get completly healed.
