Since Meg missed her run yesterday I think she had in her mind that we needed to pick up the pace a bit.  Well I wasn't arguing but it was my third day strait with a moderate paced run.  I will definately have to slow down the pace a bit tomorrow.  Run was good and actually felt better than yesterday's run which was a bit slower.  Lower back on the right side is the only thing that is still bothering me when I first get up in the morning but the pain is usually gone by the end of the run as it was today.  Don't know if it's tight muscles or nerve issues related to my lower back but I'm not terribly worried about it for now.  If it doesn't get better in the next month or two I will probably go get it checked out.  Contidions were a carbon copy of yesterday with 37 degrees and no wind....almost perfect.

Sounds like a nice run. I saw that it is supposed to hit 70 here today and decided to wait and do my run after work when it will be beautiful outside. Some times my lower back gets sore when my hammys are tight. I hope yours gets better soon.

There is a yoga move called pigeon prep. That really helps my lower back. I would post a picture but am computer illiterate and can't. You can look it up on the Internet. Make sure you are really warm before you do it though.

The weather has been very nice up here the past couple of days. I wish it were always like this.

Jeff, your runs were so nice. I'd be so happy if I could run like that everyday.

Does the yoga help with the lower back pain? Most mornings I wake up with all kinds of weird stiffness and pain and they usually go away. But that's just old age stuff; and you're NOT old like me.

Kathie..I looked at the pigeon pose online and thought "there is no way I can do that!" Well, I tried it after yoga this morning and was amazed that I could do it and it actually felt really good. I think I will add it to my usual morning stretching. Thanks.
