Solo run today as Meg had a cortisone shot in her heal yesterday and needed to take the day off.  Decided to pick it up a bit today and see where I am.  Nothing too out of control with only one mile at marathon pace.  Felt pretty good but I can tell that fatigue is going to be a factor in the marathon due to my lack of long runs and time off.  Hopefully I still have it in me to get at least a couple of good long runs in before the big day.

Hey I am happy to see you running again!!!!

Don't think of your legs as untrained think of them as "fresh" it is all in how you look at it!

I know exactly how you feel. I'm really nervous that I'll get wiped out half way through the marathon again.

I hear ya Jeff on the long run issues! I have had that same problem this year for some reason. The injuries that I have had have prevented me from really going long so who knows whats going to happen at SG.

Hang in there, your doing great!

Glad to see you putting in the miles again. There's still time to put in couple of long runs. Stay positive!

Glad you got in a good run. If you get in a few good long runs in the next 2 weeks, and allow yourself a 2 week taper to bring fresh legs to St George, you'll still have a shot at meeting your goal. The key is to be healthy on race day to give yourself a shot at your goal.

Thanks everyone for checking in on me. It is good physically and mentally to be back running again. Not running really drags on me mentally.

MarcE...I am hoping the same thing you are about the 2 week taper and getting in at least 2 maybe 3 good longer runs of 18-22 miles. We'll see how it goes, health comes first though.
