Today's run felt 100% better than yesterday.  Still fighting a little soreness and fatigue but didn't take 2-3 miles to warm up to a decent pace.  Those Monday runs after hard Saturday race are killer.  Was able to squeak in a sub 8:00 mile on mile 6 and felt really good.  Next race on the calendar is Painters half marathon in St. George.  My son is talking about running the 5K so Meg or I or both of us will probably run it with him.  Since Meg really doesn't like this race she will probably run with him and I will run the half.  I am anxious to run Painter's for the second time, since this was my first half marathon ever last year, and I have a feeling I can really improve my time this year.  Weather was nice today but I think tomorrow is supposed to be in the 40s so I gotta break out the sweats tonight.  Running in the cold and wind is not one of my favorite things to do.

Time:  8:21/mile

It will be down in the 20's for the rest of week up here dude, so I know your pain... keep up the good work, when is the Hurricane Half marathon do you have any idea?

From rdrunner on Tue, Nov 20, 2007 at 14:34:16

Hurricane is May 3. It is a really good course and I would highly recommend it but it is 2 weeks before Ogden. I am planning on running Ogden this year so I may run Hurricane too but probably not very hard.

Ya, sounds good... I haven't decided yet on Ogden, I'm going to see what happens after the first of the year and how my leg is doing. I have just inceased my mileage to just over 40 miles a week so I am going to keep it there for a while and see how I do.

That would be a good one to do for just a training run to prepare for Ogden, I will have to see.
