Was able to get out finally after scout camp.  Hottest part of the day.  Wanted to go at least 10 but my heart rate was in the 180s by mile 8 and I was overheating so decided to call it a day.  Glad I was able to at least get a run in, had my doubts, but got it done.  I was surprised at how easy my pace felt.  I may have been pushing too hard and that may have caused my overheating, may have been the sun and 85 degree temps as well......

Oh I hate to run in the heat! I am not sure how you guys do it! I am glad your pace felt easy.

How in the world could you run so fast in that heat!! No way, no how, no where would I ever even attempt such nonsense!! I tried to run in the middle of the day once when it was roughly 85 degrees, planned on going 6 miles, quit at 3!!!! NUTS I TELL YOU!!! You Vegas Runners are insane!!

Nice run ... especially after Scout Camp!!!

My scout salute to you, Jeff!!! Hey, you got it done after scout camp, in the hottest part of the day and at a nice clipping pace. Great training for VOF, never know how hot it might get in them dessert. I'm too wimpy to go run in the middle of the day with that kinda of temp. Take a nice rest today.

Great run there man. Glad you were able to get in some good fast miles too after your camping trip. Sounds like your recovering well too.
