Wow!! Four whole miles today!!  My cold is pretty much gone and I figured it was about time to start logging some miles.  Felt fairly well recovered going into this run but still had a few small aches and pains here and there from minor injuries that never seem to go away.  Had to stop once for a few seconds cause my chest started to hurt.  I think it was just some muscle tightness in my shoulders and chest from so many days off.  Felt fine after the stop.  Kept it nice and easy the whole way.  Felt good to be back at it again.

Keep that calf from acting up and don't push too hard too soon. Good job.

Great job getting out there. Hope your feeling better.

Glad you're getting over with the cold. A nice easy recovery run is always good, to "dejunk" the little aches and pains.

So the once-in-a-30 yr-snow-storm blew thru and now it's back to balmy weather? We'll be driving thru Vegas on Sunday on the way to Southern Calif. for a funeral. I hope the weather will be good. I love snow, but not driving in it.

So are you going to the Vegas bowl? Are you even a BYU fan, I can't remember.

Congrats on the four miles. I am sure you will be back to full strength soon.

Kathie..I am not a BYU fan (USU grad, not much to cheer about there) but I am planning on going to the game with my boys and our free tickets. My boss is a stake president and he got some free tickets from an annoynmous donor. Should be really freakin cold. May not make it past half time, but with free tickets, who cares.

Smooth...Aren't you coming to Vegas for the Las Vegas Bowl? If you and hubby need a place to stay on your way down or back from CA, just let me know, the door is always open.

From Smooth on Fri, Dec 19, 2008 at 13:47:37

Thanks Jeff for the kind offer. We are driving straight thru. All 7 of us squishing together for a 12 hr. drive on Sunday. Funeral on Monday and driving back on Tuesday.

I am so jealous of your Bowl tickets. We don't have cable so can't even catch it on ESPN. Oh well, too busy to watch it anyway. You'll have to tell us all about it. Dress warm, drink plenty of hot chocolates and stay for the whole game.

Jeff..

Glad to hear you're back on the road again. I think it's always hard starting back up after being off for so long, or even for just a few days. How's the weather down there?

I'm sure you'll be back to running without discomfort within a day or two. Those first couple weeks after a marthon are always tough for me. I don't know how those guys who did the Slam do it.

So glad you are back at it!! Can't imagine you not running!! :)
