Wow, two days in a row!  Before I get to far into today's entry, does anyone have a good recommendation for a good yoga DVD?  I've been thinking alot about doing some yoga as my cross training in the evenings and wanted some recommendations on ones people have tried.

Anyway, today went well.  Just kept it nice and easy again.  Temps continue to be pretty cold with the starting temp at 34o this morning but the winds were calm which made it very pleasant.  Almost felt a bit overdressed by the end.  I plan to keep the runs pretty simple for at least the next couple of weeks at least, or until the aches and pains start feeling better and I feel fully recovered from LVM.  Don't know for sure what that will do to my time at Painter's this year but I'm really not too worried about it.  At the worst I would get run with Meg again and that would be a great thing!

Hey I am glad to see want to start yoga. I don't have a DVD recommendation but I can tell you one not to buy "Yoga for beginners" by Gaiam. It is really way to basic even for a beginner (a lot of mountain pose which is just standing)anyway I think Teena likes AM/PM yoga by Gaiam but I have never tried it. There are some online yoga classes that you can download for free each day. I have not tried them for a year but I found that they took way to long to download but the classes were great. I think I found them by Googling "free yoga" I hope this helps.

Its good to see you running again Jeff! I hope you're recovering nicely from LVM, keep up the good work.

Hey Jeff,

Kathie is right, I love AM/PM Yoga by Rondey Yee (Smooth likes it as well). It's a great one to begin with. I have probably about 10 of Rodney Yee's DVDs and like them all. I think he is great. The nice thing about the AM/PM one is that the AM portion (which I do at night as well) is only about 17 minutes long and has some really great stretches for runners in it. I don't like the PM portion as much. Like I said though, I like all of his stuff. Some of it is easy, some advanced ... just read the back before you buy it. I get a lot of mine at Target.

You could check out the selection at the Library (try before you buy...)

Yodney Yee AM/PM is pretty good though.

Jeff,

Or ... you could just buy it and not wait ... you usually have to put Rodney's DVDs on hold because somebody else is using them. It's worth the $15.

(or you can wait!! I'm just messing with Cal ... I think I told him quite some time ago to try yoga, if I remember correctly he had to wait for quite some time for the library to get it. Could be wrong though.)

Thanks for the recommendations everyone, I will have to start looking around for Rodney's DVDs and give them a try.
