Yasso's!!  Yep, another day of the lung scorching 800s.  The last few weeks of doing these has caused me to be pleasently surprised.  The reason I say that is I have been feeling some pretty good fatigue lately and when it comes time to find the strength and speed to do these things, it's there.  This morning when I started my two mile warm up I said to myself that I would take the Yasso's one at a time and see if I was able to continue after each one.  Well after I had completed the first interval I felt so good that I knew I would have no problem completing the whole workout.  Here are the splits:  3:17, 3:14, 3:16, 3:23, 3:07.  I know splits 4 and 5 look a little out of whack so here's the story.  I use my Garmin to do half mile intervals but I also have a half mile area measured out near my house which I use, so with or without the Garmin I know where the half mile starts and ends.  The Garmin apparently went to breakfast during my fourth interval and I ended up running about 150-200 feet further than needed before it finally registered a half mile.  I would estimate that the fourth interval was right around 3:15 as well.  Anyway I was a bit upset about the garmin being off during that fourth interval that I grabbed the bear that had been hitching a ride on my back threw him to the ground put him in a choke hold and took off like I stole something, determined to make up for the garmin screw up, well, I guess I did.  Cooled off at the end with a mile and called it a day.  Another successful interval workout in the bank, hope it pays big dividends, with few penalties.

Meg had a cortisone shot in her heal yesterday afternoon so she did 20 on the bike and I had to do my intervals solo today.  I am usually solo on interval day anyway because she runs her's at about a 3:30-3:40 pace but at least I see her as we pass each other going back and forth.

Great job Jeff. I think you're already starting to see the dividends, with the best still yet to come.

I wouldn's say "no signs" of injury.... I would say injuries behaving themselves.....for now....while holding my breath and crossing all my fingers and toes and knocking on wood, etc...

I love doing fast intervals, they are such a big confidence booster to be able to dig down and see what's there. Great job!
