Dang Day Off!  Well the thing on the outside of my left foot is turning out to be worse than first thought.  There is a little bit of swelling and it's a bit painful to walk on.  I guess I will try to get in to see my podiatrist this next week to find out what it is, until then, no running.  It's kind of a weird deal as it just appeared out of nowhere, no warning, no build up of pain.  I'm hoping it's just some tendonitis but I suppose it could be a stress fracture or something else, who knows.  I'll give it the weekend to see what it does and go from there.  What a dang bummer, just when things are going good, something always happens.  I guess I will just have to kick back and watch a few movies today......darn :)

Hang in there. I hope it turns out to be nothing!

I know the feeling. Let us know what you find out. Lets just hope it something minor. You deserve a shot at that BQ! Hang in there, my friend.

Jeff, sorry to hear that. I hope it turns out to be minor. It can get discouraging especially when your working that hard toward a goal and things are going so well.

My wife works for her brother who is a podiatrist, and it sounds like its tendinitis to her... You might need a cortisone shot and some rest for a few days. She said to try an ice pack under your knee and elevate the foot, and IB prophen twice a day, or however you spell it. She says they deal with that alot and it is fairly common.

Good luck, if you need anything else give us a call...

Man that is a bummer. I cant wait to hear about what they say. Rest up though man and I am sure you will be running even better then before.

I hope you get good news when you get in to see the Dr. It sounds like it is not a stress fracture because it just came out of nowhere which is how my tendinitis cases usually are. But definitely better safe than sorry!

Hey thanks for checking in guys. I am fairly confident that I can get by this thing and continue training. Time will tell.
