Increased mileage again today and ran slow again today. My plan from now until the marathon is to run only base miles and cut out all hills, intervals and other speed work. I will plan on doing some strides now and then during runs as well as run a fast mile (7:30ish) once in a while but that will be the extent of it. My realistic goal for the marathon is probably around 4 hours but I thing that 3:45 is still a slight possibility if I can run a smart race and if things feel good on that day. |
