Decided to actually pick up the pace a little bit today if you can call it that.  I am running a low key 5K this weekend and wanted to get in some slightly faster miles.  Since I have done no faster training I kept the pace pretty slow and onldy did two miles at about a 7:45 pace...blaughghgh!  It didn't really feel all that good and everyday I realize I have a long road ahead of me to get back to marathon shape.

PM:  Ran with the young men to help them meet there 3 miles in 30 minutes duty to god requirement.  They all did great and my son Cory really gutted it out to meet the time requirement.  So the extra miles were slow and easy, which in my current condition of "slob" worked out very well.

Good job getting out even when you don't feel like it. I'll bet if you stay consistent and keep it short and easy for a while like [you're doing] things will start to come around.

Sorry I missed you at Painter's. I did look around for you a bit at the finish line but there was quite a crowd.
